Sarah Blasko had a lot to live up to following the breakthrough success of 2006's What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have. That album debuted in the national top 10, won Blasko an ARIA for Best Pop Release and was nominated for the J Award. It took the Sydney singer/songwriter from indie favourite to proper, crossover artists. Three years later she's back with the follow-up, As Day Follows Night, but can she repeat the success?

If the critics are to be believed, Blasko's latest LP surpasses her breakthrough in every way, shape and form. The Australian described it as "An album of the year contender." The Sunday Herald agreed, calling it "a serious contender for album of the year." The Daily Telegraph simply went with "her best yet." Whatever went on in the Swedish studio where this album was recorded obviously worked a treat, because Blasko has produced one of the indie pop releases of the year. As Day Follows Night, debuted at number five on the national charts and has Blasko back out on the road showcasing her new LP throughout the country. Tickets for this one are selling fast.
