In 1988, Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson perfected a pop powerhouse formula and told the world to Look Sharp. That album hit number two in the Australian charts, and their breakout international single, ‘The Look’, is still one of the greatest songs ever to consist largely of the sounds “Na na na na na”. Roxette took a hiatus while Fredriksson recovered from a brain tumour, returning with 2011’s Charm School. They’re touring Australia by overwhelming demand – with energy to burn and 33 mega-hits to play, Roxette are thrilling.
