This year, singer-songwriter PJ Harvey pulled off the tremendous career feat of winning two Mercury Prizes. Recorded in a Dorset church, Let England Shake is a worthy album for this unprecedented honour – provocative in theme and ambitious in scope, it sees Harvey meditating on wars and their impact on her home country. When she heads to Australia to play the Sydney Festival and MONA FOMA (as well as her own headline gigs), she’ll treat fans to songs from Let England Shake along with favourites from her other seven solo albums, backed by a band including Mick Harvey, John Parish and Jean-Marc Butty.
