Editorial
Today, Citysearch® announces the 'Eye-Con' winners across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, in the 2010 Citysearch® Best in the City Awards. For the second year running, Citysearch® called out to savvy city residents to nominate and vote for their favourite local haunts across 10 unique award categories.
The Best in the City Awards recognises the voice of urbanites in-the-know - not the industry critics. Thousands of votes were cast and the public has decided the 2010 Citysearch® Best in the City 'Eye-Con' winners.

Brisbane Festival 2010 definitely deserves this Best in the City Award because they gave us the emerging and local brisbane theatre makers a opportunity and chance to shine and show our work to the public!

Pizza Religion in Toronga Road East Hawthorn takes the pizza to new and tantallizing hights. Crispy thin bases with gourmet fillings, casual but professinal and friendly service should ensure it becomes not just a local institution but perhaps a Melbourne one.

Prince Bandroom is the BEST place to watch a live show. The venue layout is awesome, the sound system is mint and its just always a super fun night!!!

Loving the second Tibetan Kitchen on Petrie Terrace - clean, relaxed with a BIG BAR! (It's just up the road from Hotel LA). I've been a fan of their first restaurant in the valley, but the parking was always an issue! Now I can zip on the Inner City Bypass and it's a bliss to just duck in and grab takeaway too. Loving it! (Plus it's never crowded like the Valley one.

When is Brisbane going to get the list of eateries that did not come up to 'Food safety standard'. In NSW, all eating establishments are listed and available to the public. Not in Brisbane, the only places listed are the ones that have been prosecuted. Not fair as an avid diner I want to know the score, rating, is it 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. We need a directory available NOW. In the media they give us the figures of how many got 5, 4, 3, 2 and under, but we have to know who got what, I’m sure we were told there would be an online directory WHEN, we want to know, same as they do in UK and other countries. Come on Brisbane we want to know who got what score in the 'Eat safe Brisbane' program. Diane XSteam 1300 406232. We do not even have any listings in 'name and shame'. Name the places so we do not take the risk of food poisoning. Try and google results, NOT AVAILABLE in Brisbane.
