One Movement Music Festival
Editorial
The One Movement Music Festival is all about bringing together music industry professionals with the media and technology sectors. A showcase event and expo, it's united around one central premise - music is universal and knows no borders. Or, as the official logo puts it: Together we are One Movement. Aside from a whole lot of industry meet-and-greets, cocktail parties and talks, the event also plays host to the One Movement Music Festival. Over 80 "export-ready" acts take to the stage over the event's two days, playing in front of both fans and industry big wigs. As organisers explained: "Artists will get to exhibit their wares on the big stage in a full-scale festival setting, preparing them for the next steps in their career".
Headlining this year's festival, and hot on the heels of their confirmed number one chart placement, are Hilltop Hoods. The group are dropping beats and rhymes alongside acts like Kate Miller-Heidke, who recently won the International Songwriting Competition for Caught in the Crowd, Little Red, Scribe, Wolf and Cub and many more. Another highlight of the festival is the first southern-hemisphere performance from MySpace sensation, Meiko.
