Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
Editorial
Noel Gallagher’s middle finger is probably as well known as the songs he wrote for his band Oasis. Britpop’s former bad boy quit after a climactic 2009 quarrel with his brother Liam, and there’s more peace in his new solo project. Critics called Gallagher’s self-titled debut album his best work since What’s The Story Morning Glory, and crowds are adoring his live shows, where he’s backed by guitarist Tim Smith, former Oasis session pianist Mike Rowe, Lemon Trees drummer Jeremy Stacey and Zutons bassist Russell Pritchard. Here for the Big Day Out, they’ll be playing two intimate sideshows… including your favourite Oasis songs.
