Nicholson’s Bar and Grill Christmas in July Dinner
Editorial
So December might be a few months off yet, but the weather is cold, the days are short and a bit of tinsel wouldn’t go astray. Christmas cheer just seems oddly fitting at this time of year. Or maybe not so oddly – it is Christmas in July after all. And who’s going to say no to having Christmas twice a year? If you’re all for it, you may be interested to know that so is Nicholson’s Bar and Grill and that it will be hosting Christmas in July festivities on Saturday, 17 and Saturday, 24 of July.
Both evenings will begin at 7pm with a winter creamy pumpkin and leek soup and a bread roll, you will then be invited to grab your Christmas favourites from the carvery – roasted turkey breast served with cranberry sauce, marinated roast beef with old fashion gravy…those are the things that make the bells jingle. Also joining the Christmas treats will be a selection including beer and garlic battered fish, salt and pepper squid, chilli mussels, vegetable pasta, roast potatoes as well as salads. But don’t stuff yourself too much, dessert will offer a traditional Christmas plum pudding with brandy custard sauce as well as a chef’s selection of cakes, a fruit platter, tea and coffee. Western Australian beer, house wine and soft drinks will also be available for your drinking pleasure and – in the spirit of Christmas – there will be some jolly entertainment and prizes (read “gifts”) to win. The Nicholson’s Bar and Grill Christmas in July dinner will start at 7pm and wrap up at midnight. The three-course dinner is $75 per adult. Children’s entry is $15-50. Booking must be made by 1 July 2010.
