Michael Feinstein’s Sinatra Big Band
Editorial
The American popular song canon is rich, but cheaply held. There are far too many “Rod Stewarts” caterwauling their way through jazz standards, and too few Michael Feinsteins preserving and championing the legacy of the great composers and performers. Honoured for his skill in interpreting a song - Feinstein has slayed 'em from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl. Lately, he's been channelling the power of Ol' Blue Eyes with his Grammy-nominated Sinatra Project. Seeing Feinstein and his big band perform live is the closest you'll get to heading back to the Sands Casino in a martini-powered time machine; so forget the rest 'cause Feinstein is the best.
