It's not often you get a good night at the theatre, and a chance to support a good cause, but that's what you're getting with this exclusive season of the famous musical, Les Misérables at the Regal Theatre, presented by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia (MSWA).
The musical, adapted from Victor Hugo's classic novel by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, is now one of the longest-running musicals on London's West End, and still manages to inspire and entertain. Set in Napoleonic 19th century France, it follows the lives of Jean Valjean, a man with a dark past, Fantine, a woman with a dark present, and her daughter Cosette, a girl with a brighter future.
This all-local production is directed by John Senczuk, in collaboration with Musical Director, Tim Cunniffe, who has also worked with the MS Society on their previous productions South Pacific and Guys and Dolls. It will feature a cast of 50 Western Australian performers. Taking the role of Jean Valjean is seasoned Perth performer, Ian Toyne.
Produced with the support of Channel 7, 6PR, United Community, the City of Subiaco and Community Newspaper Group, this production will help the MS Society continue to assist people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. For ticket information, visit Ticketek.
