The Killers are looking at releasing an album of covers before the year's end.

Editorial

The Killers are contemplating releasing an album of covers. Members of the Las Vegas band are currently working their way through their respective MP3 collections, deciding which songs they might like to have a crack at. According to frontman, Brandon Flowers, "It's something that we've always talked about doing and we're still talking about. It's difficult for each of us to pick songs that represent us as individuals. I mean, I have a lot of personalities myself! I've gone through everything from Neil Diamond to the Cars".

Drummer, Ronnie Vanucci, has come up with his own list. Aside from "messing around with a couple of Fleet Foxes songs", he's also name dropped Genesis, Tom Waits, Cyndi Lauper and Iggy Pop as potentials. The pair are arguing over the final selection as they tour the current album, Day & Age. Apparently they have a mobile studio on their tour bus, so they've been trying out a few things on the road. The covers album they're still only thinking about releasing is supposed to be out before year's end. Given the lacklustre response to Day & Age, that's probably a good thing.
