While Keith Urban is a huge country star in the US, his local profile is a little more hazy. Essentially, he's better known for being famous than he is for his music, which is exactly the sort of thing that happens to you when you marry Nicole Kidman. One minute you're going about your day, minding your own business, the next thing you know you're on the front page of New Weekly in some scandal. Urban's Escape Together tour aims to redress that balance between his music and private life. A two-hour show, it's filled with high-energy country music, guitars and chutzpah. A specially crafted stage, which melds into the audience, is part of the package, and Urban's US shows have seen him interacting extensively with the crowd, even performing several songs out in the audience.

Urban released his latest album, Defying Gravity, earlier this year. Aside from debuting at number one in the US, the album has since gone gold in Australia - pushing his overall sales in Australia to over 500,000 copies. With more singles still to be released, the album still in the charts and the acclaimed live show, Urban's local profile as a musician is about to take on a whole new scope.
