Jimeoin returned to Perth’s Stage for two nights, with his side splittingly funny show, Jimeoin On Ice.

Editorial

If laughter really is the best medicine, then fans of comedy legend Jimeoin would have to be among the healthiest people in the world, and this time, it was Perth's turn to feel the love. Much to the delight of the W.A public, Jimeoin returned to Perth's Astor Theatre this Friday and Saturday night, to perform his hit show, Jimeoin On Ice, presented by the Wild West Comedy Festival.

As the crowds flocked into Mount Lawley on this chilly Saturday night, struggling to find a decent parking spot would soon be forgotten, as one by one, eager punters ready to laugh, settled into their seats. With the lights dimmed and the audience cheering in anticipation, Jimeon appeared to raucous applause.

With his highly skilled and almost intuitive improvisational skills, the first few minutes of the show were completely winged, as he poked fun at audience members still trying to locate their seats. “I haven't even started yet and you're already leaving!” Jimeoin exclaimed.

As the night wore on, the hilarious Irishman's highly experienced live skills became more and more evident. His effortless jokes and brilliantly funny observations on the absurdities of everyday life left the audience in hysterics. Simple yet intelligent humour, coupled with a unique array of body gestures and animated facial expressions - there was rarely a dull moment.

Accompanied by his trusty acoustic guitar, Jimeoin ended the show with a quirky and very funny song about what really goes on in a long term relationship. Needless to say, Jimeoin's comic take on couple's behaviour was masterful and intertwined into catchy lyrics.

After a quick exit and an immediate encore, Jimeon left viewers aching for more. One thing is for sure, with the amount of non-stop laughter happening all night, there would be a lot of stiff and sore faces after this show.
