Hundred Acre Bar
Editorial
I've never really understood the joys, or even the point, of golf. Seriously? What's with plodding around in chinos and argyle sweaters hitting a tiny ball with big metal stick? And this is why Tiger's so popular?
Well, what I can get into, more so then a hole in one, is a pint sunk in a great bar. Thankfully Hundred Acre bar means you can wash away all memory of such a dreary pastime, or hell, just park here while everyone else plays.
It's beautiful space enveloped in an impressive, undulating canopy that opens out right onto the green. Though wide open, there's plenty of heaters and blankets to be passed around so you'll never feel too parky. There's even an open fireplace for those who need to be warmed more than most.
With a classically stylish decor and a fairly beautiful crowd, all of a sudden it seems like the dull world of golf has a little more to offer than expected after all. The wine list is certainly impressive enough and perhaps if you hang out here long enough you'll get to be just another one of Tiger's conquests too.
