One of the CBD's last remaining old school pubs, Hotel Sweeney's has character by the bagful. Spread over three floors, the real treat is up top, with an awesome roof terrace with possibly one of the best views of the city's skyline. There's a mighty fine Thai restaurant downstairs too, so you can soak up all the beer if you can make it downstairs in one piece. In a nice nod to tradition, Thursday nights mean trivia, and there's a meat raffle every Friday night, with proceeds going to charity. Meat with a conscience. Bonus!
