Friday Night Dinner at Riverbank Estate
Editorial
You know you’ve found a special restaurant if it only opens for dinner for one day a month. This is true for the Riverbank Estate restaurant which only welcomes diners on the third Friday of every month. Luckily for you, the next Friday night dinner is just around the corner on the 19th of February. So sharpen your appetites and prepare for a night of great wine, fabulous music and delicious food in the magical setting of the vineyards.
There are no set menus here, so you are free to choose whatever you like from the a la carte selection. Choices include entree delights like red wine marinaded scallops, spiced avocado with coriander and chilled gazpacho, and mains like five-spice-coated duck salad (with citrus fruits, pinenuts, confit garlic, asparagus, pickled red cabbage and pomegranate dressing).
Since the restaurant is seated in the vineyard, there will also be a selection of local wine, including the recently-released Zinfandel to accompany your meal. And where would a perfectly refined evening be without some live music? Providing this will be “Heaven Strings”; a jazz string duo which will complement the romantic setting and exquisite food and wine with their own brand of class. The average entree will cost $18, an average main $36 and most wines fall between $24 and $29 a bottle.
