Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons flourished in the fascinating early ’60s, when doo-wop groups and crooners including Frank Sinatra charted alongside blues-influenced British mod rock. Simultaneously streetwise and sublime, Valli’s powerful falsetto anchored 71 US chart hits including ‘Sherry’, ‘Walk Like A Man’, ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and ‘Stay’. Valli’s solo hits also include ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ and the Grease theme. He hasn’t been to Australia in more than 20 years, but after his life and career were dramatised in the hit musical Jersey Boys, it’s time for Frankie to show us he’s still got it.
