Having scored a number one hit and two chart-topping albums, Flo Rida brings his Miami swagger to Australia.

Editorial

Taking a more pop-friendly route than some of his peers, Flo Rida has been one of the most successful rappers to emerge in recent years. His debut single, Low (featuring T-Pain) went to number one in 2008 and he's followed that up with two chart-topping albums. Mail on Sunday, the Florida rapper's debut album was released in 2008 and spawned several hit singles. While Low was an unexpected surprise, an even bigger surprise was his collaboration with Australian Idol singer, Jessica Mauboy, on Running Back. It may have been an odd pairing, but the song was a local hit and went on to sell double platinum, cementing both Mauboy and Flo Rida's reputation on this side of the world.

Flo Rida returned with his second album, R.O.O.T.S., a few months back. Spearheaded by Right Round, it featured another mix of pop and electronic-based hip hop, making it all the way to number six on the local charts and number one on the urban charts. If you like your hip hop with a decidedly pop edge, you know what to do.
