Do you dream of dining at some of Sydney’s top restaurants but hear your wallet shouting its objections? Zip it closed; from Saturday, 9 to Saturday, 30 January Fast Festival Feasts is hitting Sydney as part of the Sydney Festival 2010 and fancy restaurants are inviting you to dinner for just $30! Simply turn up to a participating restaurant between 12 noon and 1pm or 6pm and 7pm, mention the Fast Festival Feasts and have your appetite (and your $30) handy. If it sounds too good to be true you are going to have an even harder time believing that aside from a main course you will also receive a glass of Stoneleigh wine or a Little Creatures beer as well as a Ferrero Rocher chocolate.

Some of the great restaurants throwing their plates into the event include The ArtHouse Hotel, Dome Restaurant, Ash St Cellars, Bistro Moncur, El-Phoenician Restaurant and Bar, Etch, Fix St James, Garden Court, glass brassiere, Mad Cow, Ocean Room, Opera Bar, Steel Bar and Grill, Subsolso, Summit Restaurant, Verandah Restaurant and Wine Bar, The Victoria Room, The Watershed Hole, Wildfire and Teppanyaki.

Then you can pinch yourself to see if it’s true, but don’t take too long before running for the phone – bookings are recommended and places fill up fast.
