Since the first dinosaur fossils were recognised in the early 19th century, our perceptions of these remarkable giant reptiles have constantly changed. Initially thought to be slow, lumbering, stupid beasts, we now know that many dinosaurs were remarkably well adapted for their environments. Some were probably warm blooded; others were definitely feathered, the forebears of birds.
Explore-a-saurus demonstrates the ways in which palaeontologists use fossil evidence to learn how dinosaurs lived; from how fast they ran, to what colour they were and even how they cared for their young.
Test your strength against the jaws of a T-Rex, test your hand at palaeontology, and marvel at animatronic versions of some of the world's most famous dinosaurs - including Muttaburrasaurus, one of the most complete dinosaur skeleton specimens ever found in Australia!
