It's official. Eminem's new album, Relapse, is set for release 22 May. And the follow-up is slated to drop before the end of the year. While various leaks and tidbits have been doing the rounds for months, the first official single and video from the album is to be released on 7 April. This follows the promo only Crack a Bottle (with Dr. Dre and 50 Cent) going to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and selling over 418,000 digital downloads - a new industry record.

Meanwhile, the follow-up LP is already finished and ready to go. As Eminem recently explained: "A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year. I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff".

Eminem has sold a ridiculous 75 million albums worldwide since he released the Slim Shady LP in 1999.
