Doctor Who Visits NIDA

The iconic DOCTOR WHO series sends the TARDIS to NIDA for some holiday fun.

Editorial

As one of the most watched programs of all time in Australia since its inception in 1965, Doctor Who has touched most people's lives in some way. For kids who not only love the show but are interested in drama and its making, the NIDA workshops, in association with BBC Worldwide, are a dream come true.

The courses are run over the two school holiday weeks and are designed for 6 to 16 year olds. Fledgling filmmakers can explore the use of props, learn about characterisation and have a go in front of the camera using green screen technology.

For more serious and older kids, there will be scriptwriting, acting, prop/costume making and the chance to create and film a real episode of Doctor Who at Cockatoo Island.

The aliens are set to destroy planet earth in 2060, so get into the action before it's too late!
