After a brief fluff and dry break, Dirty Laundry are back with their new single ‘I Want You To Fly’.

Editorial

It's been a while since we last heard from these guys, but finally they have followed up from their last two 'Aria Club Chart' EP's Disco Infected and Hate Me, with a sexier new sound (and light show but we'll get to that later) with the release of I Want You To Fly. More recently the guys have been working on some individual projects, with DC supporting George Michael on his Australian Tour, Pete performing with the Black Eyed Peas and Lee Lee consulting for fashion label 'Animal Avenue'.

The influence of these side projects is evident in both their single and live performance. Dirty Laundry's Intergalactic Video Show takes visual stages props to a whole new level, featuring crazy graphics mash-ups of vintage clips mixed with bold neon colours and geometric shapes, perfectly reflecting today's pop culture. Also of note is the quality of the remixes.

Every DJ and their dog has jumped on board this one, with a plethora of versions covering everything from Electronica and House to Trance, with a little Latin on the side. Any variation of the track would sit very happily amongst a clubber's playlist. It's hard to go past Ian Carey's Hands Up re-edit as choice pick on the EP. Combining the best of both worlds, namely Carey's beat with Dirty's vocals; it immediately grabs you right in those first few crucial seconds. Carey has cleverly remixed and extended on the original vocals and together with the subtle sequence of builds, there is a lot more to take in and love.

Dirty Laundry will be kicking off a short tour this Saturday 19th of June at the Beach Hotel in Byron Bay. For more dates visit their website.
