Dappled Cities: Wall Of Zounds Tour
Editorial
Three years since the success of Granddance, Dappled Cities are back with their third LP, Zounds. The first single, The Price, has already been picked up by Triple J and has had both critics and fans waiting in anticipation. The accompanying Wall of Zounds tour is a chance to introduce fans to the new record in person before the LP goes out to shops.
Since debuting in 2004 with A Smile, the Sydney band has certainly won over plenty of fans. Melding swirling synths, falsettos and melodies that stretch for days, the group has produced some of the lushest guitar pop to come out of Australia in recent memory. Their reputation was solidified in 2006 with the AMP nominated Granddance.
Having spent the last few years touring locally and internationally, Dappled Cities have established themselves as one of the country's finest bands. As Beat magazine (Melbourne) described them earlier this year: "What strikes you first is how epic and made-for-stadium they sound ... when they reach for the stars, they get there with ease." Don't miss their comeback tour - Zounds is just around the corner.
