Crabapple Cupcake Decorating and Baking Classes
Editorial
The cupcake craze has spread across the country quicker than icing on a cake – and Victoria ’s Crabapple Cupcakes and Supplies has been leading the march. Beginning as a market stall in 2001, the company now supplies deliciously delightful cupcakes to cafes, restaurants, and private and corporate functions nationwide.
In two very informative cooking classes, Crabapple founder and cookbook author Jennifer Graham is now sharing her secrets with Melbourne’s sweet-tooths. One class focuses on baking, while the other demonstrates the art of decorating – both equally tricky talents to master.
Join Jennifer for a two-hour class in which she will demonstrate how to bake the ultimate Crabapple signature vanilla cake and vanilla frosting to perfection, plus an eight-inch layer cake and a range of frosting and decorating methods. Salivating class members will then share the fruits of their labour.
Alternatively, Jennifer’s two-and-a-half hour decorating class will outline how to bake the perfect cake and demonstrate nine Crabapple decorating designs, including the signature swirl. Make a hummingbird cake and decorate cupcakes in six designs of your choice. Participants will then be rewarded with a take-home pack of their creations and Crabapple recipes.
Each course costs $90 per person, with a maximum of 12 people in the baking course and 18 in the decorating. Both are held at the Ferntree Gully store in Factory 37, 756 Burwood Highway .
Find more information at www.crabapplecupcakesupplies.com.au, or phone (03) 9752 2000 for future class dates.
The decorating course currently has vacancies on Tuesday, 21 April and Tuesday, 12 May, or the baking course on Tuesday, 19 May.
