Children Collide: Chosen Armies Tour
Editorial
Children Collide became official in 2008. After years of live gigs and EPs, they finally got it together and released their debut album, The Long Now. It may taken them a while, but the end result was worth the wait. Lead by Fairwell Rocketship (and a charming videoclip), the group went from local favourites to national 'it' band. By years end they had made their debut on Triple J's Hottest 100 and had played a sold out tour throughout the country.
Having won a national audience, Children Collide aren't about to let the opportunity fall by the wayside. The group are already in the studio working on a follow-up which they hope to have on store shelves either later this year or early 2010. Either way, the current Chosen Armies tour is going to be their last for a while - the guys are eager to get into the studio and knuckle down recording.
That said, the current run is their biggest yet and will provide them with an opportunity to both play some favourites and road test the new material. If you want indie rock with a Triple J sheen, Children Collide are one of the most in-demand acts in the country at the moment.
