Chicago is back and ready to sizzle with a superb home-grown cast. Playing Velma Kelly, the role in which she made her Broadway debut, is Caroline O'Connor, the doyenne of Australian musical theatre. Stealing Velma's limelight is Sharon Millerchip as Roxie Hart, who is equally as greedy and corrupt as slimebag lawyer Billy Flynn, to be resurrected by Craig McLachlan. The icing on the treacherous cake is the casting of Gina Riley as Matron "Mama" Morton, who will swap her Kath and Kim "noiceness" for the filth of the cellblock.
Producer John Frost is as excited as our musical theatre enthusiasts. "I'm thrilled to bring back to the Australian stage this wonderful musical, especially with the extraordinary cast we have assembled," he said. "... Sassy, sinful and seductive, Chicago is a musical that thrills and chills which is why it continues to tour the world after so many years and has been seen by more than 15 million people. And there's a whole new audience who loved the Oscar-winning film, and now will have the chance to experience Chicago live."
Grossing more than $850 million worldwide in little more than 12 years and with a swag of Tony, Olivier and Grammy awards to its name, this story of murder, mayhem and sleaze laced with dynamic choreography and sensational score is certain to "razzle dazzle" once again.

I turned 50 yesterday and was fortunate enough to be in the front row of Chicago with family and friends. What a great show. All the cast were fabulous but the high point for me was meeting the beautiful and talented Gina Riley after the show. She very graciously allowed us to take photos with her. I had a wonderful day with my family and friends and had the wonderful opportunity of meeting one of my favouriter actresses ever. By the way I am not Prue, I am Maggie (if Gina reads this). Thank you - your ability to make us laugh is a truly precious gift. Love Maggie(Prue)
