Britney Spears: Circus Tour
Editorial
While the last couple of years have seen Britney Spears more famous for her public meltdowns than actually musical output, there's no denying her influence and ongoing appeal. 11 years since she made her debut with Baby One More Time, she's still one of the most successful entertainers of all time. Over the last decade Brits has sold over 80 million records worldwide, released six albums, been married and divorced, had two kids, made a movie and experienced a very public meltdown. All things considered, it's not a bad effort for a 27-year-old.
Finally, after all that, Brits is giving Australian fans what they've been waiting for - a national tour. Her latest album, Circus, has seen Britney back on top of the charts and away from any front-page scandals. Led by the Womanizer single, the LP's international success has meant a US tour has now snowballed into a proper, globe trotting effort.
As Britney explained on her website: "I've wanted to tour Australia for quite some time and now it's finally happening. My Circus tour is the best show I have ever created and I can't wait to perform it for all of my Australian fans".
