Breasts, no matter what their shape or size, are one of the most beloved and sexualised parts of the female form. They also happen to be the area in which women most commonly develop invasive cancer, with an astonishing estimate of 13,300 Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

Breast Wishes is a comedic musical that is the brainchild of Anne Looby whose own life, like so many of ours, has been touched with the disease in the form of family and friends around her. She decided to gather together some of the country's best comedic writers (including Wendy Harmer and Richard Glover) and create a musical revolving around four women, a husband, a boyfriend and a bra-fitter, with a dialogue centred around breasts in all their many guises: from sexualised forms to feeding machines and the leading cause of cancer death in Australian females.

Touring nationally, the musical is in many ways reminiscent of Eve Ensler's worldwide smash-hit play The Vagina Monologues, in that Breast Wishes aims to expose all facets, both beautiful and ugly, that surround the breast. Working very closely with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Breast Wishes proudly wears a pink ribbon on its logo, also supporting the foundation through proceeds from special gala events.
