If there is a sporting equivalent for the Australian World Orchestra, it is almost certainly our Socceroos. These eleven virtuosi may seldom play together and rarely on home turf. But, dang it, when they do, the nation sees a talent that belies its size.
Just as we tend to disproportionately over-achieve on the sporting field, so too do we wow 'em in the concert halls of Europe and beyond. We're no small shales when it comes to orchestral excellence as this special gathering of expat musos will attest.
On the 28th and again on the 29th, the temporary excellence of the Australian World Orchestra unfolds particularly for kids in matinee and after-school performances respectively.
