Augie March are embarking on a greatest hits tour before they wonder off into the sunset.

Editorial

While 2006's Moo, You Bloody Choir saw Augie March gain national attention, the Melbourne band had actually been playing together for 10 years by that point. That's a decade of low-key pub gigs, arguing over bar tabs and ignoring the creeping doubt that manifested itself at 3am, as they lugged equipment back to the van.

One Crowded Hour changed all that. The song propelled the group into the mainstream and ended up number one on Triple J's Hottest 100. The accompanying album became a radio favourite and saw their ARIA nomination tally rise to six. The 2008 follow-up, Watch Me Disappear, did even better. The album debuted at number four on the national charts and the group have embarked on two national tours in support - a proper live tour and a stripped back acoustic one.

Having spent much of the last six months on the road, Augie March are about ready to put their feet up and start work on some new material. Before they do that, they're making one last lap around the country, playing a greatest hits set from their four previous albums. The Watch Me Set My Strange Sun You Bloody Choir tour is a celebration of 13 years of indie rock and is a must see for fans.
