Just as Arctic Monkeys have parlayed their 2006 stint as an overnight buzz band into a healthy long-term career, the English quartet have followed their stoner-rock detour Humbug with this year's lighter Suck It and See. Part vintage garage, part narcotic pop and all seamy in-jokes, the LP is sturdy and charismatic, if not wildly revelatory. But like the fops themselves, it's more likeable than you first think and gets its hooks into you in a roundabout way. Now with four albums to play around with, Arctic Monkeys head to Falls and its sideshows towing a proper back catalogue - and fan base.
