Editorial

When: 27 Jun-12 Jul 2009
Where: Immigration Museum

Not only can you visit this special exhibition and explore the 14th century Vijayanagara Empire from southern India, but you can experience its culture first-hand through special school holiday activities.

As well as learning about the ancient Hindu gods, you can build and decorate your own shadow puppet of Hanuman, the Monkey God, and Ganesh, the Elephant God. Dress up as a Hampi local or archaeologist, and have your photo taken in costume. You can also arm yourself with a booklet and pencil and take your own self-guided adventure trail around the whole Immigration Museum.

Read our review of the exhibition here.
