ABBA World from Citysearch TV on Vimeo.
Swedish supergroup ABBA exploded onto the international stage in 1974 with their Eurovision-winning single 'Waterloo', and went on to become one of the most enduring pop bands the world has ever known.
In Australia, ABBA-mania reached unparalleled heights, as documented in ABBA - The Movie, and the band performed to enormous crowds - including to then-Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser and his family - wherever they went.
Thirty six years later, their string of hits, including 'Fernando', 'SOS' and 'Dancing Queen' are still on high rotation on radio stations around the globe, and the four members of the band - Björn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid - remain pop idols of the highest calibre.
Now fans can experience all things ABBA as never before in ABBAWORLD, the only exhibition of its kind to be officially approved by the members of the band. The songs, the stage shows and the costumes are immaculately detailed across 25 different rooms, with a treasure trove of personal items and rare memorabilia, as well as TV interviews and photos from the band's astonishing career. Exhibits such as 'Perform with ABBA' will allow fans to get up on stage with their idols as part of a stunning 3D holographic illusion, while die-hard devotees can test their knowledge with the 'ABBA Quiz'.
Utilising the most up-to-date technology, this interactive and audio-visual experience will allow you to navigate through the displays at your own rate, ensuring an intimate personal view of the remarkable, unstoppable pop culture phenomena which was ABBA.
